Peacefully Whole Recovery, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, began when a group of recovering addicts and professionals recognized the need for accessible Holistic Health and Wellness services for individuals fighting alcohol, opioid and other substance misuse. We believe in getting to the root of the problem and addressing the whole person - mind, body and spirit. Not all, but many of us became caught in a web of substance abuse as we attempted to cope with underlying trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other co-occuring mental health conditions. Some of us fell into the grips of Opioid dependency trying to navigate physical pain and other health conditions. Our current health system today commonly acts on the defensive, treating symptoms of disorders rather than the underlying root causes.

Our food has become increasingly poisoned with pesticides, artificial coloring and other toxins, and the nutritional value of our food has decreased over time with industrial farming and over processing. Our minds and bodies are very much connected, and what we put in and on our bodies can directly affect our health, both physically and mentally. 95% of our Serotonin is produced in our gut. Nearly one in three people with mental health conditions also suffer from chronic physical illnesses, many of which are preventable. We believe in a individually tailored approach to address physical, mental and spiritual health in recovery.

When recovering from Substance Use Disorder and Trauma, Self-care is a critical component. We believe that things like therapy, proper nutrition, exercise, breath work, mindfulness, meditation, purpose, spirituality and a supportive community can have a massive impact on the quality and success of an individual’s recovery. Services such as Massage therapy, Chiropractic care, Acupuncture and Yoga can help those recovering from Substance Use Disorder reconnect with their bodies, release stored trauma and provide a holistic solution to chronic pain. When used in conjunction with responsible psychiatry and/or Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), Holistic Wellness can vastly improve the quality of life for individuals in recovery, however they choose to recover. We strive for inclusion and support for each individual as they embark on their journey to wellness and recovery, ensuring individuals feel their best with confidence to stay that way.

Peacefully Whole offers financial assistance for those in recovery seeking trauma therapy when insurance won’t cover the visit or they can’t afford to pay out of pocket. We believe everybody should have the same opportunity to heal regardless of their economic status.
